Bonsai - The Ideal Mini Forest

By: Kenny F Leichester

Most will agree that a garden will do wonders to one’s home. It is the reason why many have turned into an avid gardener. A well looked after garden; no matter the size will do wonders to the one’s home and will definitely create the serene and welcoming look.
Worried that your area is too small? Don’t be because size does not matter much for a beautiful garden is not determined by the size. It is all up to your creativity and effort. Time and budget is another important element that you will have to put into your garden. Take the initiative to start from scratch and you will not miss the one of the most enjoyable part which is shopping for your garden needs.
Starting it could seem a daunting task, but it is also an extremely rewarding venture when everything just starts to blossom in ways that every homeowner knows that they would.
It is good to have a vision of the end result before the plans are put in place. The placing of a few potted plants together with some patio umbrellas for shade will not do, although it would work while your garden patio takes form slowly. At the very least, they would provide the area of rest for the whole family all the same.
The joy in seeing the progress can be quite exhilarating, to say the least. It’s best to be planned together with any major renovations so that the garden patio complements the home and does not end up looking like a mere add-on of an afterthought.
Make do with what area you have be it just a small corner or shifting your garden indoor making it an indoor garden. Make sure you have a focal point like a little fountain. It is actually an advantage working on a small space for the budget can be used to buy quality product such as a teak furniture or two that will provide the elegant and classy look to your garden.
Even if the house is without a sizeable portion of open soil is not an excuse in not going for an indoor garden, if you could spare the time and money. Instead of a pergola, you could instead go for a Bonsai - a variety of choice any good nursery would be able to provide - providing the centre piece of attraction. Work can therefore start from this point outwards for a full blown garden patio.
A bonsai tree is different from having a line up of trees in your home. The outlook it will create is one very creative and tranquil. It is a vision of a mini forest and you can collect your ideas from visiting any nurseries.
What will really boast the miniature bonsai forest you have as the focal point of your indoor garden is a concrete-based fish pond. This will not only create a serene look but will further beautify your garden. Picture yourself taking a relaxing time in your miniature garden pleasing your eyes by looking at the fishes swimming in your lovely little pond sheltered by the bonsai tree.
Have some patio furniture in place, and you have a readymade guest area for those days when you are less than inclined to invite visitors into the living room, and the conversations over a cup of tea could focus on the bonsai and the accompanying water fountain model which provides the base for the bonsai to stand on. An outdoor coffee table could not be more superfluous.
This setting is flexible in a sense that you will be able to change the tree whenever you feel like it. After all, a bonsai tree enthusiast will always be creating the beautiful bonsai tree every year.
Having an outdoor garden, one should always think of a way to use the garden as much as one can. Therefore, having outdoor heaters for the outdoor will increase the usability of your garden no matter the weather.
