Car parks in Belfast city, Ireland

Probably the most central car park in Belfast city is Smithfield car park. It's located right in the heart of Belfast city centre just steps from Castle Court Shopping Centre. Entry to this car park is via Winetavern Street and Samuel Street. This car park has 109 spaces and you can park here by paying at a kiosk.

The next best car park if you're looking for somewhere central is King Street car park. As the name suggest, it can be found off King Street in the city centre, just about a 5 minute walk from Castle Court Shopping Centre. It a small car park, with just 38 spaces and entry is via King Street. Pay at the kiosk.

Hope Street can park is located right next to Victoria Street Station and Europa Bus Station. It's about a 10 minute walk from Donegall Square so it's very central. It's also close to the Opera House and Great Victoria Street. The car park has just 41 spaces and entry is via Hope Street.

Talbot Street car park is located north of the city centre just off the Dunbar Link, about a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The car park is in close proximity to the University of Ulster, the Albert Clock and St.Anne's Cathedral. It has 179 spaces and you pay at a kiosk. The entrance can be found on Exchange Street.

The Eastside car park is located across the River Lagan not too far from the Odyssey Centre and the Titanic Quarter. The car park has 210 spaces and payment is at a kiosk. One of the best things about parking here is that you can avail of the park & ride service to the city centre. This is perfect choice if you want to avoid driving in the busy city centre.

These are just some of the main car parks in the city centre which are run by the Roads Service. Much of the city centre is a pay & display ticket zone so if you do find street parking make sure you put up a ticket on the car.

There are also lots of multi-storey car parks in the city centre. Probably the biggest is the one at Castlecourt Shopping Centre. It's operated by the shopping centre and has 1600 spaces so it's ideal if you're going shopping.

Another central multi storey car park is Hi-Park Centre Multi Storey car park which has 575 spaces. It's located just off High Street in the city centre and is central to Laganside Bus Centre, the Albert Clock, Castle Court Shopping Centre and Donegall Square.

The Great Northern Multi Storey car park has 530 spaces and is beside Victoria Station and the Europa Bus Centre. It's also just around the corner from Great Victoria Street where you'll find some of the best pubs and restaurants in the city.
