Designer clothing is something of a talking point – is it really only suited to the fashion conscious middle class boys that care more about appearance than substance? No, of course it isn’t.

But what designer wear does prove is that people who buy this kind of clothing and apparel are conscious of the arts as well as branding. This is because much of the clothing (be it t-shirts, jeans, hoodies…) carry graphically designed artwork created by professionals whose influences expand across music, film and writing. This separates these clothes from your local bargain store where you can pick up a shirt for a couple of quid.

Typically the garments are made from quality, hard-wearing material and possess enhancements within their design. Drunknmunky clothes, for example, often display their logo in a sort of “welded” material, embossed and raised from the garment itself, where Gio Goi clothes are more often printed designs.

It’s difficult to imagine a world without designer fashion. It’s a staple part of the world of TV & film, music and it’s marketability goes hand in hand with every other promotion under the sun because, everybody want to look good.
