It is easier to fall off the wagon when you are not accountable to anyone. But with a buddy, you are accountable, even if it's just not wanting to let them down, or a little healthy competition, it works. You should pick someone who is supportive, and really wants to do this. Not someone who is going to quit a few weeks in. You will find that you and your buddy provide support and a valuable life line to each other while trying to loose weight.

Having companionship will help you push through your workouts or walks, and help you stick to you healthy eating plan. You can talk about cravings or accomplishments when you made a healthy choice even when it was hard.

It's nice to have a personal cheerleader, always letting you know they believe in you ,and you CAN do it, you can loose weight. Once you are a team you will find it's not so hard, and you can celebrate each others milestones together. Not only are you getting healthier and fitter, you are forming a lasting relationship by overcoming a challenge together.
