The Belfast Wheel

Belfast's answer to the London Eye is the Belfast Wheel. Its base is the east side of Belfast City Hall where it will operate until November 2008. Take in the stunning views of the city from 200 feet high – it's fantastic by night! So if you're visiting Belfast anytime before the end of November 2008, a ride on the Belfast Wheel is a must. Each capsuel can hold eight people and the duration is about 12 minutes.

The opening times are as follows…

Sunday to Thursday - 10am to 9pm
Friday - 10am to 10pm
Saturday - 9am to 10pm

How much does it cost…

For a single adult a ride will cost £6.50, children age 1 to 3 will cost £1 (any child under the age of 1 is free), children age 3 to 12 will cost £4.50, a private gondola will set you back £48, a VIP gondola is £55 and a VIP gondola with champagne is £70.


It's closed on the following dates…

Tuesday July 1st - closed from 11am until 2.30pm
Sunday August 17th - closed from 11am until 2.30pm
Monday November 3rd - closed from 11am until 2.30pm
Sunday November 9th - closed from 11am until 2.30pm
